Reflect on the following quotes from the chapter,what does each mean to you?
"Making yourself feel ugly is not fun"..."This whole game is just designed to make us hate ourselves".-
I think shay is saying that she doesn't want to spend 13 years of her life telling herself she's ugly,that no one wants to be what she is.
"Everyone judged everyone else based on their appearance. People who were taller got better jobs...people killed one another over stuff like having different skin."(referring to when everyone was ugly)-
She is saying that we shouldn't judge each other on our appearance it is what's inside that counts.
"It's the only way to make people equal".(becoming pretty)-
She is saying that if everyone was pretty there would not be a difference in equality.
