The first fight unlike the 2nd one was fake it happened because they were trying to scare the littlies unlike the 2nd one wich they were really fighting about uglies and pretties.they out come of the first one led to shay pretending to jump off the top of the library with bungie jacket umlike the 2nd one where shay swam away.they are the same cause they both were fighting against each other they were also fighting about one thing.

The Rusty Ruins are buried in the ground and have been for thousands of years.Most of it is really rusty but some like the roller coaster isn't.

I think shay is saying that she doesn't want to spend 13 years of her life telling herself she's ugly,that no one wants to be what she is.

"Everyone judged everyone else based on their appearance. People who were taller got better jobs...people killed one another over stuff like having different skin."(referring to when everyone was ugly)-

She is saying that we shouldn't judge each other on our appearance it is what's inside that counts.

"It's the only way to make people equal".(becoming pretty)-

She is saying that if everyone was pretty there would not be a difference in equality.

very good movie.

Why do you think the new pretties don't come back to Uglyville to visit? Describe their physical and mental transformation into new pretties.

Because it is such a disgrace to them to even look at an Ugly so why would they want to come to a town FULL of uglies?

They have an operation where the doctors take your skin off then you regrow your new skin,without any flaws. mentally they become to think that the uglies are very ugly and they are the right kind.
